The client was looking for a senior Programme Delivery Director to be accountable for the delivery of a complex product that was being delivered by multiple teams with high technical and political risk.

The role

The Programme Delivery Director worked with the Programme Director to oversee the delivery of the client’s vision for the programme. The role included:

• Managing dependencies of varying complexity, potentially planning and feeding into larger programmes and portfolios
• Removing blockers and managing risks, commercials, budgets and people
• Providing indepth knowledge of Agile and other methodologies
• Managing and communicating programme status to a complex stakeholder group, while balancing priorities
• Acting as initial escalation point for the programme a

• Coached a teams in Agile and Lean practices, creating new ways of working;
• Resolved high-risk commercial management issues.
• Mediated between all stakeholders and managed stakeholder expectations and facilitated discussions
