The Programme Delivery function must provide leadership, management and intelligent controls that deliver success, confidence and certainty to your Programme and be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme.

Programme Delivery is also responsible for directing and communicating the various strategies, process and tools that will be used on the programme. A Programme framework is implemented to consist of a set of management tools used to design, monitor and evaluate interventions. Many of these will be determined by the Architecture Office or the Office of the CTO but their implementation and the adherence to the standards that have been set, are the responsibility of this function. NWT understands the importance of this work and provides a CTO as a Service to help organisations. Whether they are developing strategy, leading a programme of work or a complete digital transformation, our people delivering this service always take time to fully understand the company’s culture, processes, skillsets, leadership and customers so they can shape a project in a way that wins the hearts and minds of every stakeholder.

We are finding that organisations are now considering agile principles, often associated with a DevOps and CI/CD approach, and the adoption of agile as a way of responding more quickly to changing business priorities. NWT is happy to help advise on the best methodologies and frameworks that may be adopted as part of the establishment of the Programme Delivery function as the function will also need to consider how it can establish the necessary Agile tools and techniques, with appropriate training and coaching.

Another aspect that sits within the Programme Delivery is Commercial Management, as the function needs to act as the escalation point and resolve large or high-risk commercial management issues. NWT has a Commercial Service that will help with the typical commercial steps in a contract lifecycle include commercial team strategy, sourcing strategy, negotiation, procurement planning, contract management and contract transition, through to contract exit.
