Like many government departments and public sector organisations, the client operated a legacy technology environment with physical data centres, on-premise infrastructure, complex data and voice networks, aging end user compute and limited cloud presence. The client, a public body, was looking for insight and actionable advice from an expert interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with deep understanding of the cloud market and its direction that could help them adopt a serverless strategy.

The role

NWT provided an Interim senior Security Cleared CTO with deep understanding of the cloud market and its direction. The Consultant acted as an independent, objective critical friend and provided detailed guidance on how to define and embrace a digital strategy including aligning transformation plans with strategic departmental objectives. The CTO had the experience to challenge key stakeholders on their proposed transformation option helping them hone their vision and gain consensus around scope, approach, design principles and objectives.
